Clare Rachel Greener

Clare Rachel Greener is a classical singer and singing teacher based in Yorkshire. Rachel has extensive experience performing in all styles including opera, oratorio and musical theatre. In 2011, Rachel was privileged to be invited to sing in the Cathedral of St Francis on the Greek island of Rhodes. Rachel was awarded her DipLCM diploma in Classical Singing in 2011, and has won trophies in many local music festivals, including York, Harrogate and Rothwell.

Rachel offers private singing and music theory tuition for all ages and abilities, both in local schools and her own home studio. In addition to teaching classical singing, she also has many successful pupils in Musical Theatre and Popular Vocals. Rachel is an Associate Teacher for Vocaltutor.

Weddings and Funerals

An important part of Rachel's work is performing as a wedding soloist and making your special day even more memorable. Accustomed to both religious and civil ceremonies, her classically-trained soprano voice encompasses a wide repertoire to suit your needs, from various settings of Ave Maria, to Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, and the Shania Twain classic From This Moment On.

Rachel is already taking bookings for weddings in 2012 and 2013; further information on booking her as your wedding singer is available here.

Rachel is also experienced in singing solo items during funeral services, an often overlooked option, in which an exquisite performance of The Lord is my Shepherd, Pie Jesu or Danny Boy can make the occasion even more poignant.
