Weddings
An experienced wedding soloist, Clare Rachel Greener, a classically trained soprano, is available as a wedding singer in York and the North of England, and is happy to perform in church or during a civil ceremony. Rachel can also guide you through choosing the music for your ceremony. Some of her more popular selections are listed below, and Rachel is prepared to learn any piece that you would like performed. Please bear in mind when selecting your repertoire, that any pieces with a sacred text are unable to be performed in a civil ceremony.
Accompaniment
Rachel always sings with live accompaniment, rather than using backing tracks, as this allows a greater freedom and spontaneity in performance. She performs regularly with professional accompanist Matthew Collins, Director of Music at Howden Minster, who can accompany her on the piano or organ. They can also supply a keyboard for use in venues where no instrument is available. Matthew would be more than happy to play for your entire ceremony if there is not a resident organist or musician; equally Rachel is more than happy to work with whomever is accompanying the rest of the ceremony, provided they are happy to accompany her (often village organists prefer not to do this!).

Quotation
You can book Rachel as your wedding singer from £130. This will usually include up to three pieces of your choice at whichever point in the ceremony suits your needs. Rachel will also lead the singing of any congregational hymns during a church service. She is more than happy to tailor any quote according to your requests, so please contact her for further details. Please note that she is currently on maternity leave, but is accepting bookings for July 2013 onwards.
